Makes 1 serving
Ingredients:
- Water: ½ pint
- Soya milk: ½ pint – divided into two equal parts
- Porridge oats: 2 oz
- Maple syrup: 1 tsp
- Flaxseeds and Pumpkin seeds: 1 tbsp
Instructions:
- Measure out your ingredients to have them ready.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the water and half of the soya milk and oats. Place the pan on the stove and turn the heat to medium.
- Continue to cook the oats on medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking at the bottom. Cook until the oats have absorbed most of the liquid and have a creamy consistency. This should take about 5-6 minutes.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Pour the porridge into a bowl.
- Pour the remaining soya milk around the porridge in the bowl.
- Sprinkle the flax and other seeds over the top of the porridge. Drizzle the maple syrup over the top.
- Serve while hot and savor your nutritious and delicious breakfast!
Note: You can adjust the amount of soya milk added at the end if you prefer more or less liquid around your porridge.
